Corine Fortunato-Jackson

Translates from English and Spanish into French, and from French into English.

Corine began her career at Sochata Snecma immediately after graduating from the Sorbonne Nouvelle, with the task of translating aircraft engine repair manuals and reports. She moved to Chicago in 1987, where she spent seven years working for Rotary International as head of the translation department. This position introduced her to the complexities of translating and editing content which was focused on development, medicine and international cooperation.

Corine has been working as a freelance translator in Antibes (France) since 1994. Her translation and copyediting projects cover a wide range of fields: medical equipment, medical research, localization, energy, business, management, sustainable development and engineering, with a specialization in high-visibility translations such as technical manuals and corporate communications.

His skills later diversified into other fields such as banking and finance, engineering and industrial automation, as well as official EU reports. Together with Sophie and Corine, he founded Lingualis in 2003, opening a Spanish branch in Barcelona in 2013.

François also offers voice-over and dubbing services in French and German.

Sophie Lina

Translates from German and English into French.

After graduating with a Master’s Degree in Applied Foreign Languages from the University of Nice-Sophia Antipolis (France) at the end of the 80s, Sophie immediately turned to the translation profession, initially working as a liaison interpreter. She then worked as a translator in the banking sector, before becoming a freelance translator in the early 90s.

Her interest in technical subjects and a thriving IT sector led her into the localization field for major software developers targeting, not only the general public but also professional products, notably in the medical sector. Today, her areas of expertise range from industrial automation to sustainable development, including engineering and energy production. Since 2020, she has specialized in smart building technology which integrates both energy management and building security.
